The Representative Payee Program is staffed by volunteers who manage the monthly finances for approximately 100-125 program participants. This FREE service is vital to ensuring that lower income clients maintain their independence and avoid becoming homeless.
We achieve this goal through the financial management of the clients’ Social Security benefits, Temporary Assistance to Needy Family (TANF) benefits, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), earned income and veteran’s benefits.
Participants must understand and agree that their income will be used first and foremost to meet their monthly bills and immediate day-to-day living expenses which include:
- Medical Expenses
Any additional funds are placed into a savings account. The participant may also receive a predetermined amount of money on a weekly basis for personal use.
