Representative Payee Program Services

Utility bill and calculator over it - 1 to 1 ratioThe Representative Payee Program manage the monthly finances for program participants.  This service is vital to ensuring that lower income clients maintain their independence and avoid becoming homeless.

We achieve this goal through the financial management of the clients’ Social Security benefits, Temporary Assistance to Needy Family (TANF) benefits, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), earned income and veteran’s benefits.

Participants must understand and agree that their income will be used first and foremost to meet their monthly bills and immediate day-to-day living expenses which include:

  • Rent
  • Utilities
  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Medical Expenses

Any additional funds are placed into a savings account.  The participant may also receive a predetermined amount of money on a weekly basis for personal use.
